Experience The Island Ropes Course for an exhilarating family-friendly adventure!
If you’re looking for adventure, the three-story Island Ropes Course is an experience you don’t want to miss! Featuring thirty different elements, two zip lines, and one simulated free fall (Quick Jump), this popular attraction at The Island will get your adrenaline pumping as you take on this fun challenge in the Smokies.

Fun for the whole family
Anyone over 42” tall can tackle The Island Ropes Course, but if you are under 48” tall, you will need a taller chaperone to go with you. We always have a certified employee on the course just in case assistance is needed as you tackle all the different elements throughout your journey.
You can take as much time as you like on the course, so no need to rush — we want you to have a blast! When you’re ready to finish, simply walk back down the stairs. Or, if you’re really daring, you can use the Quick Jump to go into a simulated free fall, landing on the bullseye below! (Quick Jump option available for $5 upgrade)
If you are under 42″ tall, check out our Sky Tykes course, made just for kids 48” and under! Just like on the big course, participants are in their harness and attached to a sling line and carabiners, so they are safe and secure at all times. It has a low-level and open design, allowing for easy parental guidance throughout the course while little ones get their own taste of big-kid adventure!
Safety First
Before buckling up for your adventure, Liability Waivers must be signed for anyone going on The Island Ropes Course or Sky Tykes. Waivers must be completed before purchasing tickets at the Ticket Center.
Filling out your Liability Waiver has never been easier! Look for signs near The Island Ropes Course and the Ticket Center displaying an easy, scannable QR Code to our Online Waiver Form. Simply point your cell phone camera at the QR code and follow the link to complete your Online Waiver Forms before you purchase tickets at The Island Ticket Center.
If you’re already planning your adventure on The Island Ropes Course, save even more time before you arrive and fill out your Liability Waivers in advance online! Or, purchase your tickets online and complete your Online Waiver Form during the checkout process.
Waivers will remain in our system for 60 days. Simply present a photo ID at the Ticket Center to verify your identity and fast-track your way to adventure!
