The Island Hosts Its Annual Winterfest Kickoff On Nov. 16 With A FREE Concert And Spectacular Tree Lighting Event 

We’re kicking off Winterfest at The Island in grand style. It’s a must-see event that includes live performances by the Emerald Empire Band and the Argentinean Gaucho Dancers, a special appearance by celebrity chef Paula Deen, and everyone’s favorite holly jolly visitor, Santa Claus!  

It’s a magical evening with millions of twinkling lights, a spectacular walk-through Christmas tree, festive decorations around every corner, and a holiday atmosphere that will warm your heart. It’s Winterfest Kickoff at The Island - Saturday, Nov. 16!

Kickoff the Holiday Season 

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, for our Winterfest Kickoff Celebration!

• Santa's Arrival: Santa Claus himself will arrive at 5 pm, ready for photos with the kids. 

• Argentinean Gaucho Dancers: Enjoy an exciting performance by the internationally acclaimed Argentinean Gaucho Dancers from the Array Variety Show at 7 pm. 

• Emerald Empire Band: Get ready to dance the night away with the high-energy Emerald Empire Band from Asheville. They'll be playing all your favorites, from classic hits to holiday tunes! 

• Tree Lighting Ceremony: Witness the magical moment when celebrity chef Paula Deen and Santa Claus light The Island's spectacular Christmas tree at 8 pm! 

Special Holiday Fountain Show

The Island's multi-million dollar Show Fountain and Courtyard will come alive nightly with a dazzling Winterfest show! Be amazed by the choreographed 40-foot-high LED Christmas trees and dancing fountains, all set to festive music. This spectacular show will run every evening at 6 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm, and 9 pm through Sunday, January 5.
