An interactive exploration of American crime
Alcatraz East, located at The Island in Pigeon Forge, is a fantastic museum that delves deep into criminal profiles, the penal system, victim’s stories, crime prevention, forensic science, law enforcement and our justice system. The huge, 25,000 square feet museum includes five unique galleries and over 100 interactive exhibits!
The design of the Alcatraz East building was modeled after a combination of the first prison in the State of Tennessee, and of the infamous Alcatraz. The museum incorporates the castle-like look of the 1898 Tennessee State Prison just outside of Nashville and the watchtowers of Alcatraz.
Our fun-loving host Matt Lyscas will explore the stories and artifacts behind the country’s most fascinating criminal cases, attempt to master forensic science and learn to solve crimes as he takes us inside Alcatraz East Crime Museum.
