Deinonychus Watcher

What’s up? I’m Deinonychus Watcher Dash

(die-non-i-kus)

What’s up, team? I’m Dash, the Deinonychus Watcher. My name means "Terrible Claw," which sounds pretty intense, right? That’s because I’m the MVP of the dinosaur world. I lived over 100 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period in what you now call Montana, Wyoming, and Oklahoma. While the big guys rely on their size, I rely on speed, skill, and my secret weapon. I’m always ready for action, so keep your eyes open—I might just challenge you to a race!

FUN FACTS

  • Check out the Kicks: Look at my feet. See that huge, curved talon on my second toe? That’s my "Terrible Claw." I use it to snag my prey!

  • Stay Sharp: When I walk or run, I actually hold that big claw up off the ground (retracted) so it doesn't get dull. Gotta keep my equipment in top shape!

  • Lean and Mean: I’m built for speed, not bulk. I weigh about 175 pounds—pure muscle!

  • Size: I’m about 10 feet long and stand about 3 to 4 feet tall at the hip. Perfect size for sneaking up on the competition.

  • What Did I Eat?

I am a biped (I run on two legs) and a carnivore. My jaws are packed with 60 curved, blade-like teeth. I used them to grab onto my dinner and hold on tight. I don't settle for salads; I'm a meat-eater all the way.

  • Did You Know?

A lot of people think the "Velociraptors" in the movies are the scariest, but they were actually modeled after me! That’s right, I’m the real star. I’m bigger, stronger, and way cooler than a Velociraptor. I just let them have the movie fame while I handle the real work.
