Hallo! We are The Compy Crew!

Hallo! We are Hans, Fritz, Greta, Otto, Liesl, and Klaus. We are the Compsognathus family! Our name means "Pretty Jaw." That is because we have the prettiest smile! We lived a long time ago in the Late Jurassic Period. We are very famous in Europe. The first one of us was found by Dr. Oberndorfer in Bavaria, Germany, way back in the 1850s! Another set of Compsognathus fossils was found in France! So we are world travelers!
FUN FACTS
Fritz: We look like birds, but we don't fly! We run on two long, thin legs!
Liesl: Count my toes! Eins, zwei, drei! I have three toes on each foot!
Hans: We are small but mighty! We are only about 4 feet long.
Otto: And we only weigh about 6 and a half pounds! That is lighter than your house cat! Do you have a cat?
What Did We Eat?
Klaus: We are Carnivores! We love meat!
Greta: But because we are small, we don't eat big dinosaurs.
Fritz: We like to eat lizards!
Liesl: And small insects! Crunchy bugs are my favorite snack!
Did You Know?
Even though there are six of us here today, scientists have only ever found two Compsognathus fossils in the whole world! One in Germany and one in France.
