Hello, we're the Coelophysis brothers, Canyon and Cody

It's great to meet you! We are the Coelophysis brothers, Canyon and Cody. We have hollow limb bones, which is how we get the name Coelophysis, which means “hollow form”. We are much smaller compared to our other dinosaur friends, but we are speed demons. They don’t want to challenge us to a foot race, especially the Brachiosaurus kids.
During the Triassic Period, which was 210 million years ago, we roamed around the American Southwest. Our fossils were discovered in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.
FUN FACTS
10 feet long - We have a long neck and a long tail.
Less than 4 feet tall - Just tall enough - that’s what I say.
50 pounds - We like to stay lean.
What Did I Eat?
We walk on two legs and are meat eaters so they call us a bipedal carnivore. We have sharp, jagged teeth for chewing our food. Being super fast on our feet helps us catch our prey.
