Design-A-Saurus Coloring Contest Winner Announced

UPDATE 2/16/26: A winner has been selected for the Design-A-Saurus Coloring Contest at The Island! Congratulations to Hadley W. from Kentucky. Hadley's Euoplocephalus will be unveiled at a special Jurassic Adventure launch party on March 6.

Meet the newest member of the herd, the only-of-its-kind, Design-A-Saurus! 

Over the last few weeks, we received hundreds of incredible entries for the Design-A-Saurus Coloring Contest. Our team was blown away by the creativity of "Junior Dinosaur Keepers" from across the country. Five finalists were selected, and you voted for your favorite.  

Congratulations to Hadley W. from Kentucky 

Hadley is the official champion of the 2026 Design-A-Saurus contest. She used her imagination to create a brand new, one-of-a-kind dinosaur that has never before been spotted in nature... until now!

From Imagination to Creation 

Hadley’s amazing drawing was just the beginning. Right now, our team of dino-engineers is hard at work in the lab, transforming her concept art into a massive, life-sized animatronic dinosaur. This isn't just another Euoplocephalus—this is a completely unique creature that you will only be able to see right here at The Island in Pigeon Forge.

TOP SECRET: The Grand Reveal 

Because this dinosaur is so rare, we are keeping it strictly "Under Wraps" (literally!) for a few extra days.

While the rest of the Jurassic Adventure herd will arrive on March 2, Hadley’s creation will remain covered up and guarded until our Jurassic Adventure launch party on March 6!

Get ready for an expedition of prehistoric proportions. The massive new herd of giants will be waiting for you starting March 2, followed by the unveiling of the Design-A-Saurus on March 6.

To celebrate the return of our Free Jurassic Adventure on March 2, 2026, The Island is launching the Design-A-Saurus Coloring Contest. We are looking for one creative student in Kindergarten through 5th Grade to design the look of our newest prehistoric family member.

This isn’t just a chance to win a prize; it’s a chance to make history. The Grand Prize winner will have their unique coloring design professionally painted onto a life-sized dinosaur that will be on display at The Island all summer long!
