The Bag Lady Trifold Menu

Celebrating the roots of Paula’s career, The Bag Lady is a tip of the hat to humble beginnings, family traditions and fresh, convenient meals. In June of 1989, Paula Deen started a business out of her own home, recruiting the help of her sons, Bobby and Jamie, and called it “The Bag Lady”. The business began as a lunch delivery service, and the Deen family served bag lunches to area business people in their offices around town in Savannah, Georgia. As the delivery and catering business expanded, The Bag Lady grew into a full service restaurant named The Lady in the Best Western Hotel.

From her now-famous Lady and Sons restaurant in Savannah to her family style restaurant, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, Paula’s vision to bring delicious, Southern cuisine to guests is continually being fulfilled. But we haven’t forgotten how it all started, which has inspired the Deen Family’s newest, yet most nostalgic dining experience of all – The Bag Lady.

Combining the convenience of a deli with the freshness of a meal prepared at home, The Bag Lady offers guests a homemade selection of sandwiches, salads and sweets. Visitors can relax on the patio with a classic handcrafted sandwich, take a fresh salad back to the office or enjoy some of Paula’s famous Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. Located at The Island in Pigeon Forge, The Bag Lady brings a new take on the business that started it all for the First Lady of Southern Cooking.
